 | Hello people | Feb 21, 2006 |
My camera's working again!! It just randomly stopped working, and now, 3 months later has randomly started working again!
| | Me, Bruno & Jacques caught the midnight flight to Sydney. Arrived at 8am, had a nap and then went out for lunch. The drinks started soon after when our group of 7 met up. We watched the Socceroos play Uruguay, and even though the socceroos lost it was still a great game! The next couple of days were spent seeing the Oprah House, climbing the Bridge and of course checking out the shops and bars, including an ice bar. We flew to Melbourne where we saw more of the nightlife, went to Cirque De Soleil, saw Miss Saigon and cheered for the Eagles at Telstra Dome. Like the soccers, it was a great match even though the Eagles lost by one point. We spent the last night at The Crown and caught up with a couple of friends. What a great holiday! |
| | Well.. where to begin! New Years was held at Bruno's house, with a theme of 'Tropicana'. People dressed up accordingly and had a lot of fun with grass skirts, leighs, glow sticks etc.. The night began with Bruno's mate Sinead (the head chef of Montefiores) cooking up a storm. Woodfired pizzas, meat on the spit, calamari, pasta, and it all tasted beautiful. Kingman of course had to be in on the action, and as such was put in charge of making cocktails for the girls. From what i hear, the cocktails were greatly enjoyed. Along with some great music, organised by a couple of his DJ friends, people were dancing away late into the night. Indeed the indoor swimming pool was a hit, with some staying in there till 4am!! All in all it was a great success, as far as we could tell everyone had a blast! =D |
| | My sister turned 18 and had a party at our house. I invited some of my friends as well... was a good night!! |
| | I got up at 4am to do an assignment, went to work from 9-12 then had to be at Missy's house by 1pm.... managed to do the assignment.. given a few references were slightly dodgey, but completed nonetheless. We departed for Albany and made it there in one piece with Bruno's excellent driving skills. Lol... The first night there we went to a pub and ended up exploring on an old fashioned boat. The next day we made a trip to Pemberton where we went on the treetop walk and saw some beautiful Karrie trees. That night we were all pretty tired and had a quiet night. The next day we explored around Albany itself.. saw dog rock, The Gap and The Bridge.. a nice coastline and the windfarm.. that night we went out for Chinese with Missy's parents and then had a couple of drinks back at our room. Then the next day it was a race home because I started work at 3. Made it home by 2.30 so had 20 mins to spare! An excellent couple of days =D |
| | And once again the drunken shenanigans began..... the UWA quiz night.. lots of alcohol, paper plane competitions, making a stack of pulse bottles and breaking a glass in the process.. finding out that Shane managed to take 2 water jugs AND smuggle them in AND out of the Leedy afterwards...it now occupies a lovely place in Talya's kitchen. Yeake's inevitable answer of "China!" no matter what the question was. Then going to send a message a week later and 'stumbling' accross "asiandelight" in my mobile phonebook! Some Nancy Drew like investigations determined that it was indeed Yeake's number. HAHA! Woot Asian Delight! WOOT! |
| | We went out to dinner at Arirang in Subiaco for Laura's birthday. Her family + close friends went. It was different than any other restaurant in that you cook your own food!!! |
| | Well, this was a reallllly busy night for me again. Laura's 19th at The Saint AND Rachael & Jason's joint 19th party at Jason's house. So... I had pre-drinks with Laura and co at her house then went to Jason & Rach's and then off to meet Laura and co later again... lots of drinking mwuahahaha... |
| | Ahhhhh I love my UWA soccer club.. I swear they're a bunch of alcoholics, with the coaches definitely setting the trend. Halfway through the season we had the annual soccer pub crawl.. A great success.. just have a look at some of the photos.. hats, party bus, alcohol and a great bunch of people. What more could you want! |
| | What a night is all I can say. Typically these birthday celebrations coincided with Sal's karaoke/drinking birthday dinner. (photos to be put up later) I started drinking at the Queens, went to Sal's where we made good use of the free drinks for 2 hours and then back to the Queens... needless to say I was slightly intoxicated by this stage :p I do believe we all had fun, Con was smashed from what I remember, in fact I think everyone was. I ended up staying the night at his house, going straight from there to soccer in the morning (still in my going out clothes!) and then finally made it home... ahhh exciting times |
| | The World Cup. Late nights, drinking, going to work on two hours sleep, HEAPS of fun. Here are a couple of photos from the various nights. From the pre-world cup friendlies against Greece and Holland to all the Aussie matches and of course the grand final. Have only put selected photos up as there are sooo many! |
| | Plans for my birthday included going to a cocktail dinner with Warwick friends and then going to another friends house to watch the world cup; nothing big due to exams. However, Laura had other plans. She insisted on picking me up after the dinner even though she wasn't going. So, me and Laura were happily walking to the car when all of a sudden I'm blindfolded from behind! Whisked away by my 3 kidnappers, still blindfolded I didn't know where we were going or even know who the third kidnapper was. Unbeknown to me, Laura had gotten some of my friends emails & numbers and contacted them. So when we arrived at the Casino they were waiting to surprise me. Thanks Laura! Indeed this sneaky behaviour began earlier in the day when I started getting text msgs from people that I knew would not know it was my birthday. Laura and Ralee had msgd these people telling them. Needless to say I was quite confuzzled at the time. Sneaky sneaky sneaky!!! |
